2013 Conference Championships Hosted by WBL!
Volunteers Needed!

White Bear Lake High School's Athletic Director, Community Services department, and the Minnesota Youth Ultimate League have approved our proposal to host this years Classic Suburban Conference Championship games in the football stadium at White Bear Lake South Campus.  As members of the Classic Suburban Conference, White Bear Lake A and B teams will be competing against other members within our conference for a chance to participate in this game.  The game will take place on Friday 5/24.  In order to run this event we are asking for parent and player volunteers with various important roles.  Parents who signed up as volunteers at our parents meeting here's your chance to help out!  If interested please contact Ken Auger at ken.l.auger@gmail.com or 651-783-6965.

4/25 Thursday: Game at Bossard Park 6:00pm  (Players be there by 5pm)

4/27 Saturday: (Optional) team trip to watch Minnesota Wind Chill (MN professional ultimate team) At Hopkins High School 7:00 PM

4/29 MONDAY: MAKE UP GAME VS. ARMSTRONG 6:00 PM AT BOSSARD PARK (PLAYERS ARRIVE AT 5PM) (therefore no practice)

4/30 and 5/1 Tuesday & Wednesday: Normal practice, starts at 3:30 Bossard Park

5/2 Thursday: Game vs St. Paul Charter at Bossard Park 6:00pm (players be there by 5pm)

Girls Team and A Team Home Games on Thursday, 4/24

The Girls Team will be playing a home game at 4pm at Bossard Park, with the A Team to follow at 6pm on Thursday, 4/24/13.

The B Team does not have a game, but will practice.

Games Postponed, Face Off Tournament Canceled

Due to the inclement weather this spring, the Face Off Tournament on Saturday, 4/27 has been canceled. This affects the Girls and B Team.

B Team has postponed all games scheduled for this week (4/22-26).

A Team is planning to play their game Thursday against Edina AT HOME. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Edina, but they do not at the moment have the field capability.

B Team Schedule

B Team Game Postponed... Again

The B Team will NOT be playing their scheduled game vs Spring Lake Park Thursday, April 18th. There will not be practice on Thursday either. Upcoming games for B Team are:

Sweatshirt Orders - Due Wednesday, 4/24

Coaches are accepting sweatshirt orders between now and Wednesday, April 24th. The cost is $30, and orders will only be taking orders with payment. Checks can be made out to WBL Ultimate. Orders will not be taken without money. Here's what your coach needs to know:

• Size
• Name on back (please don't make it unnecessarily long, we pay extra for that)
• Number on back (probably your jersey #)

B Team Game Postponed (again)

The B Team's game vs Hill Murray, originally scheduled for Thursday, April 11 and rescheduled for Tuesday, April 16th has been postponed. There is no date set yet for a reschedule. The B Team's game on Thursday, April 18th is currently still scheduled, though it is subject to change due to (what else) the weather.

Face Off Tournament - Date Moved, Details

The Face Off Tournament, hosted by Cathedral Ultimate in St Cloud, was originally scheduled to be held next Saturday, April 20th. Due to weather and field conditions, the tournament will now be played on Saturday, April 27th. This message applies to the Girls Team and B Team. Details are provided below!

Tourney Location: Whitney Park, St. Cloud

Tourney Date: Saturday, April 27, 2013

Directions:

From I-94 – Take St. Augusta / Highway 75 Exit, go right off ramp. Follow 75 for about

6 miles to 25th Avenue South (large Tenvoorde Ford dealer on corner). Go right on 25th.

Continue to 12th Street North (a T intersection), go right. Follow Northway Drive about 8

blocks (at 3 blocks street curves left) to Whitney Park (on the left, YMCA on the right)

Parking: on-street or parking lot just behind field location

Restrooms and Storm Shelters: In Whitney Center or YMCA

Times: Games begin 9:00a sharp. Please arrive by 8:30a for warm-ups, sign-in.

Tourney Ends: 4:00 PM

Captains’ Meeting: 8:40 AM near registration tent

Lunch: 12:00-1:00 Bring brown bag lunch or eat at nearby fast food joint

Water: Provided on field throughout day.

Pool play in the morning. 2-flighted Bracket play in afternoon. All teams

play 6 games. All games start on the hour. Each team gets 1 time out per game. 4 minute half-time.

Games are 9 points, short half at 5. At 45 minutes, warning horn will

sound for soft-cap. At 50 minutes horn will sound for hard cap.

To speed play: after goal, scoring team has 90 seconds to put disc back

into play. If weather conditions are difficult, games may be shortened.

USAU 11th edition.

The A Team will not be playing their game today, Thursday, April 11th. Reschedule information to come soon.

B Team's Game CANCELLED

The B Team will NOT be playing their game on Thursday, 4/11/13. The game has been tentatively rescheduled for Tuesday, 4/16 at 6pm. B Team will NOT be practicing on Thursday.

Girls Team - Practice Monday, Game Tuesday

Girls Team will have practice on Monday, April 8th at 4:30p at Bossard. There is a team dinner following practice.

The Girls Team's first game is on Tuesday, April 9th starting at 6pm at Bossard Park vs Como Park. Players should plan on showing up early; please contact Coach Amy or Coach Katie about specifics.
